Privacy Policy

This policy explains what I collect when you use this website or book a job, why I collect it, and what I do with it. I'm Mountify, a sole trader based in Upper Coomera, QLD.

As a small business I'm not strictly bound by the Privacy Act 1988, but I handle your information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles anyway. It's your information — you should know where it goes.

What I collect

When you use the quote calculator

• Your name, mobile number, email address and suburb
• Your street address, but only if you book a time — I need it to turn up. Asking for a quote never asks for it.
• The day and time window you booked
• Details of the job — TV size, bracket type, wall type, whether you want cables hidden, and any extras
• The price you were shown
• Your preferred date and anything you type in the notes box
• Any photo of your wall you choose to upload

Your details are saved as you type them, before you press submit. If you start the form and change your mind, whatever you've already entered may already be with me. I do this so I can follow up on enquiries that get interrupted. If you'd rather I deleted it, ask and I will.

When you visit the site

• Pages you viewed and how you arrived here
• Which advertisement or search brought you, if any, so I can tell what advertising is worth paying for
• General device and browser information

Why I collect it

• To quote your job accurately and get back to you
• To arrange and complete the work
• To send you a confirmation and any follow-up about your job
• To understand which advertising actually produces work

I don't send marketing emails, I don't run a mailing list, and I don't sell or rent your details to anybody.

Who else sees it

Only where it's needed to run the business or do your job. In each case they only get what they need:

• Supabase — stores enquiries and bookings
• ImageKit — stores and delivers photos, including any you upload
• Resend — sends confirmation emails
• Google Analytics and Google Ads — website usage and advertising measurement
• A licensed electrician — only if your job includes a new power outlet behind the TV, and only your name, address and contact number so they can arrange access

Some of these providers store data on servers outside Australia. I'd also disclose your information if the law required it.

Photos of your job

I sometimes photograph completed work for this website and my social media. These show the installation, not you, and never include house numbers, street signs or anything identifying where you live.

Tell me on the day if you'd rather I didn't — it's no trouble at all, and there's no need to explain why. If a photo of your place is already up and you want it removed, ask and I'll take it down.

Cookies and tracking

This site uses cookies for analytics and advertising measurement, which may include Google Ads remarketing. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings — the site still works normally without them. You can also opt out of personalised Google advertising through Google Ad Settings.

How long I keep it

Enquiries and job records are kept for seven years, which is what the ATO requires for business records. Anything else I delete once it's no longer useful. Ask me to delete your details sooner and I will, unless I'm legally required to keep them.

Keeping it secure

Enquiries are stored in a database that can't be read from a web browser — only the website's server can access it. The site is served over an encrypted connection. No system is perfectly secure, but I don't store payment card details anywhere at any point.

Seeing or deleting your information

Ask me for a copy of what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Email info@mountify.com.au or call 0490 402 673 and I'll sort it within a few days. There's no charge.

If you're unhappy with how I've handled your information, tell me first and I'll try to fix it. If that doesn't resolve it, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be obvious on this page.
