Terms of Service

Last updated 11 August 2026

These are the terms I work under. They're written plainly on purpose — if something here doesn't sit right, ring me before you book and we'll sort it out.

Quotes and prices

The price from the calculator on this site is based on what you tell me about the TV and the wall. I confirm it with you before I start, and the confirmed price is what you pay — nothing gets added on the day.

If what I find on site is genuinely different from what was described — a wall type that wasn't mentioned, or a much bigger TV — I'll tell you the revised price before doing anything, and you're free to walk away at no cost.

  • Minimum job value is $149
  • There is no call-out fee
  • For jobs over $500 I'm happy to come and quote in person first
  • Prices are not subject to GST. I am not currently registered for GST, so no GST is charged and no tax invoice showing GST is issued.

Booking and cancelling

No deposit is required. If you need to cancel or move a booking, just let me know as early as you reasonably can so I can offer the slot to someone else. I don't charge cancellation fees.

If I have to reschedule — which occasionally happens when a job before yours runs long — I'll call you, not text you, and get you in as soon as possible.

What I need from you

  • Someone over 18 at the property while I'm working, and access to the room
  • Tell me if you know of anything inside the wall — pipes, wiring, previous repairs
  • If you're supplying the bracket, that it's rated for your TV and has all its fixings
  • Permission to mount, if you rent or the property is under body corporate rules. That one's on you, not me.

If the job can't be done

I go over the wall type and TV with you beforehand precisely so this doesn't happen. If it does:

  • If I can't do the job at all, you don't pay. Nothing.
  • If I can mount the TV but the wall won't allow the cables to be hidden — a fire block, insulation, solid fill, something unexpected — you pay for the mount only, never for the part I couldn't do.

Marks on the wall

A bracket has to bolt into structure, so there will be fixing holes behind the TV. That's unavoidable with any installer. They sit behind the screen where nothing shows, and if you ever take the TV down they patch with filler and paint.

Hiding cables means a small opening at each end — both behind the TV and behind your cabinet. I don't make good paint or wallpaper beyond that, and I'll always show you where the holes are going before I drill.

Electrical work

Running HDMI, aerial and network cables inside a wall is not licensed work and I do it myself. Moving or adding mains power is — so if you want a new power outlet behind the TV, I arrange a licensed electrician to install it. I don't carry out electrical work.

Guarantees

Lifetime guarantee on the mount

If a TV I've installed ever comes loose or works its way out of the wall, I'll come back and refix it free, for as long as you own it. This covers my workmanship — the fixings and how the bracket is installed.

It doesn't cover the TV itself, a faulty bracket you supplied, the bracket manufacturer's own defects, or damage from someone else altering the installation, building work, or accidents.

Satisfaction

I don't leave until you're happy with it. We check the position, the level and the finish together before I pack up. If something isn't right, say so then and I'll fix it on the spot.

Payment

Payment is due on completion, once you're happy with the work. I'll tell you what I accept when we book.

Your rights under Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law. My services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded — including that they'll be provided with due care and skill. You're entitled to a remedy for a major failure, and to have problems fixed within a reasonable time. Everything above is in addition to those rights, not instead of them.

Photos of completed work

I sometimes photograph finished installations for this website and social media. They show the work, not you, and never anything that identifies your address. Tell me on the day if you'd rather I didn't — no explanation needed. See the privacy policy for more.
